Have a Happy and Safe Holiday
The Dx is (more or less) taking off for Memorial Day, our toes curled in the sand to mark the start of summer vacation season.
Last week, we discussed the resistance that some people have to vacation and Peter Drucker’s own somewhat conflicted feelings on the subject. But, as we noted, Drucker did believe that it’s crucial to carve out time for self-reflection. In fact, Drucker “took time each summer to consider how the previous year had gone, and what he would do in the coming year,” Bruce Rosenstein has written in Living in More Than One World: How Peter Drucker’s Wisdom Can Inspire and Transform Your Life.
So whether you’re headed out for “a week in the wilderness,” as Drucker advocated, or joining us at the beach, enjoy your holiday. And, remember, please manage responsibly!
