Step Inside a Legacy

The Drucker House

The former home of Peter Drucker, now a museum and learning space where his ideas and influence continue to inspire.

The Drucker House was acquired by the Drucker Institute in 2015 thanks to the generous support of Peter’s children, Nobuhiro Iijima, the president and CEO of Yamazaki Baking Co., a lifelong friend of Peter.

The Drucker House Museum epitomizes the Institute’s mission to preserve and promote the work and legacy of Peter and Doris Drucker. In addition to maintaining the residence as a historical site, the Museum provides a rich interpretive experience that tells the story of Peter Drucker’s life and work, including his immigration to the United States, and his careers as a writer, teacher, and consultant for hundreds of companies across the profit and non-profit spectrum.

The couple made their home in the modest California ranch house for thirty years, from the early 1970s until Doris’ passing on 2014. Peter spent his most productive years here, writing more than two dozen books and counseling generations of leading CEOs and thinkers.

The Drucker House was acquired by the Drucker Institute in 2015 thanks to the generous support of Peter’s children, and Nobuhiro Iijima, the president and CEO of Yamazaki Baking Co., a lifelong friend of Peter. In 2024, The Drucker School of Management, with the generous support of its advisory board, developed a virtual tour of the Drucker House to help those explore the museum and its historical pictures, documents, and atmosphere.
